ISO 9001 A Process Interaction Matrix

Quality Works, a small internet-based publishing company has set a goal of becoming compliant with ISO 9001.2000. The Management Team assigned Quality Works' Business Manager the task of developing and implementing documentation that would meet the new standards. Although most of the new requirements could be addressed by preparing the appropriate procedures and work instructions for each process, it was difficult to document the interactions between them. The management team was not impressed when attempts to document the interaction of processes using traditional flow-charts resulted in a difficult to read document.

The standard requires that the Environment Management System be documented and demonstrable in accordance with ISO 14001 standards.
